With the recent closure of Pine Hills Dentistry, we understand that this change may bring uncertainty. I want to reassure you that our team is here to support you. We are committed to providing you with the same level of excellence and compassion in dentistry that we have been providing, in Nevada County, since 2008.
While we are not assuming ownership of Pine Hills Dentistry, we are honored to be the recommended provider for their patients moving forward. To continue your care, we kindly ask that you establish care with our office by scheduling a comprehensive exam.
This exam is an important first step. It allows us to evaluate your current oral health, review any prior treatment plans, and prioritize what services may be needed — in the right order and at the right time. Our goal is to provide you with thorough, personalized care rooted in clinical excellence.
We understand that you and other patients may have paid deposits for future treatment at Pine Hills Dentistry. Unfortunately, those financial arrangements do not carry over to our practice. However, we are committed to working with you to make your continued care more affordable. Our team will help you navigate your insurance benefits and offer additional options that fit your needs.

Q: I paid Pine Hills Dentistry for an upcoming treatment. Can I get a refund or still have The Dental Wellness Center of Grass Valley complete the work?
Unfortunately, any deposits or payments made to Pine Hills Dentistry do not transfer to our practice, and we are unable to offer refunds on their behalf. Pine Hills Dentistry is in receivership in case number CU0001723 in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Nevada. Any amounts due to patients will be administered pursuant to the terms of the court’s orders. Please review the court’s docket (https://www.nevada.courts.ca.gov/online-services/web-portal) to determine what you may do to assert your claim. That said, we are committed to working with you to make your continued care affordable. During your initial exam, we will review your treatment needs, prioritize care, and provide you with a personalized treatment plan and flexible payment options.
Q: Do I need to schedule a new exam, even if I had one recently?
A: Yes. In order to provide you with the best possible care, we require a new patient exam with Dr. Rockwell. This allows us to evaluate your current oral health, review any previous treatment plans, and prioritize next steps based on your needs.
Q: Will you work with my insurance?
A: Our team will help verify and maximize your dental insurance benefits. We’ll walk you through what’s covered and any out-of-pocket costs before starting treatment.
Q: What if I was in the middle of a treatment plan?
A: We’ll work with you to pick up where things left off. During your initial exam, we’ll assess your current progress and determine the best way to complete your treatment safely and effectively.
